Surf camp sri lankaSurf Camp Sri Lanka is the ideal package for any surf group, university group, office group, or a bunch of good friends who are looking to have a really good time in Sri Lanka surfing or learining to surf, enjoying sight-seeing, and the good vibe.

The Retreat, our surf home located in a small village called Madiha, is the ideal place for a group to lodge at. The Retreat has its own caretakers, who acts as the manager and he is a great cook as well. There are three double rooms and one triple room at the Retreat, all with attached bath rooms. Each room has fresh bedding, a writing desk, chair, and a mirror.

The tropical garden is large and well landscaped. There are hammocks, sub beds, a slack line, and an indo board to spend your free time in. Some guest love to just lay on the grass and read a book. There are King-coconut trees in the garden, which is a very tropical fruit, and you can feel free to get your hands on one when your feel thirsty.

Breakfast is usually served in the garden. Two types of breakfast will be served, continental breakfast and Sri Lankan breakfast. Continental breakfast consists of three types of tropical fruits, egg, toast, butter, jam, and tea / coffee. Sri Lanka breakfast, which is to be ordered the day before, has three types of Sri Lankan curries, string hoppers, and tea / coffee.

There is no fixed menu at the Retreat, but the restaurant serves breakfast, snacks, sea food, smoothies, ect. Dinner is your choice, so you can tell the cook what you like to have for dinner in the morning. He will even make suggestions about what is fresh from the market on that day. There are different themed restaurants and bakeries in walking distance as well, if you like to dine out for a change. The many restaurants in nearby coastal city Mirissa are must-try, as they dish out tasty sea food every day with good music, and the atmosphere is just lively.

The best part about the surf camp is that it is in walking distance to a beautiful secret reef break, which is suitable for intermediate and beginner surfers. It’s called the Turtle point. There are many interesting sights in walking distance from the surf camp, such as aged old tamples, stilt fishing, and one of the best snorkelling reefs in south Sri Lanka.

Through the ISA Certified in-house surf school, you can book surf lessons, surf guiding tours, rent surf boards and SUPs, Yoga, and other excursions such as diving, wild life safaris, whale watching tours, etc.

The standard packages set out here include accommodation for the whole villa with breakfast included, Aurvedhic massage for 9 people, surf guiding sessions, and a city tour.

The reason to operate between October and May is because of the consistency of the surf as well as its favourable weather and winds. It rarely gets big and it rarely gets flat.
