On your arrival at the Airport, an air-conditioned vehicle with a Surf Team chauffer will be there to welcome you, with a Smile. On your way to the South coast, you will experience an interesting bit of Sri Lanka traveling from the high western town to the village south which sure is a scenic and enjoyable ride. Your stay has been arranged at a luxury resort of your choice to suit your taste and budget. Your accommodation is beach front, and in walking distance to few reef break, for different SUP ability levels.
Every morning, take a stroll down the beach to see the fishermen in action, and local surfers paddling out, jog back, and then it’s time for your SUP session. The ocean in front is ideal for all level of stand up paddlers. If you’re a beginner, paddle out to watch the gorgeous backgrounds of the lush South coast, colourful fishes jumping about and turtles taking turns, and when you feel like, paddle in for a wave and Yes, you’re ripping it with a happy heart. Our surf guide will take you around for different SUP breaks including beach and point breaks according to your skill level. You may tell him if you want to paddle on a lake or a river, and he will select the spot that is just right for you. He is more than happy to take photos with your camera while you’re in the water. Your local transportation will be via tuk tuk, the most friendly method of transportation for SUP travelers in Sri Lanka.
We understand that sometimes there could be tension between short boarders and SUPers since you get most of the waves. Due to this reason, our selection of SUP spots range from one or two known places such as Weligama for beginners and intermediate plus SUPers, to better known SUP spots like Midigama Far Right, Turtle peak, Potatoes and Matara secret.
The experience is not just limited to the beach only. A complementary city excursion to visit the tea factory, underground temple, snake doctor, batik factory has been arranged and on request services like yoga, safaris, whale watching, fishing, and many other outdoor activities can be arranged.
A River missions is also included in the packages, around Garandu Wewa, which is abundant of bird life, and providing you a scenery of daily life of fisherman in Sri Lanka.
Another exciting offer in this package is The Big Five Adventure. The Big Five adventure, is a signature addition to any surf holiday offered for Sri Lanka. After Africa, Sri Lanka is possibly the best place for Big Game viewing. Sri Lanka’s Big Five includes Blue Whale (the largest animal on the planet), Sperm Whale (the biggest toothed whale species in the world), Leopard (the biggest cat and top predator in Sri Lanka), Asian elephant (the biggest terrestrial animal in Asia), Sloth bear (one of the biggest bears in tropical latitudes). You will be taken on a whale watching safari by our affiliated purpose built boat to see the Blue whales and Sperm whales, off the coast of Dondra, departing from Mirissa harbour. You’re sure to catch the sight of many dolphins, during your journey, which are common along the way to the whale line. The journey will start at 7 am and finish in four hours. You will be provided with on board breakfast and bottled water during the journey. Make sure that you apply a lot of sunscreen. The rest of the Big Five group, Leopard, Elephant, and Bear, can be seen during your safari to Yala national park, one of the largest national parks in Sri Lanka. You can either select between the morning or afternoon safari, each last for 4 hours from entrance to the park.

    • WHEN IS IT A GOOD TIME TO SURF THE SOUTH WEST COAST OF SRI LANKA?

      Usually from October to April for any level of surfer, but our Beginner beach Weligama is generating white water for your first try at surfing (Level Zero & Level One) all year round.
    • DO I HAVE TO STAY 6 NIGHTS OR 10 NIGHTS AS YOUR STANDARD PACKAGES?

      Not necessarily. You can tailor make your package to suit your number of days via our Get-a-Quote system.
    • AM I ABLE TO BOOK SURF LESSONS ONLY WITHOUT ACCOMMODATION?

      Yes, this is possible. Please get in touch with us and we will tell you how-to.
    • HOW CAN I BOOK OR CHECK AVAILABILITY?

      To book a surf course or to check availability the best thing to do is contact us via our website. We are open any day of the week, and you will normally receive a reply within 24 hours.
    • CAN A NON SURFER COME TOO?

      Your wife/girlfriend/husband/boyfriend/child is very welcome to come along as a non surfing partner although and a discount is available too. Non surfers can still enjoy all the other aspects of the package like massages, city tour, river paddling mission etc. If they prefer they can simply relax, unwind and enjoy the pool, beach, jungle and delicious food.     • CAN KIDS COME? IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT?

      Surfing is a fantastic family holiday activity and having kids for your surf lessons is always a lot of fun. We do have an age limit for surfing guests though; they need to be a minimum of 8 years old and accompanied by at least one participating adult.
    • WILL I NEED TRAVEL INSURANCE?

      We highly recommend that all of our guests purchase adequate medical and travel insurance travel before going anywhere on holiday. Also make sure that it covers Adventure sports such as surfing.
    • HOW DO I GET TO MIRISSA? DO YOU PROVIDE TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM THE AIRPORT?

      We will happily arrange for a private driver to met you at the airport if necessary. If you are coming using a different method we’ll do our best to make it as easy as possible. Our logistic line is always open at +94 77 1025 527.
    • HOW ARE THE WAVES BETWEEN OCTOBER AND MAY?

      The reason to operate between October and May is because of the consistency of the surf as well as its favourable weather and winds. It rarely gets big and it rarely gets flat. There is always soft, friendly white water on the inside for building confidence on specific board skills and typically smooth, unbroken waves each morning, perfect for more experienced guests and level 2-3 surfers wishing to challenge themselves.
    • WHAT IS THE INSTRUCTOR TO STUDENT RATIO FOR SURFING LESSONS?

      Simply put, we stick to an upper limit of 1 : 3 Instructor to Students ratio. Also it’s important to note that we do not mix ability levels, therefore you will feel more comfortable with your instructions.
    • WILL I GET TO KEEP MY ALL MY SURF PHOTOS & VIDEO FOOTAGE?

      Yes, of course, as we believe it’s your right to have them. We will dropbox you the images and videos once they are processed, usually before 30 days after your departure. This comes absolutely FREE of charge.
    • IS THERE ANYTHING SPECIFIC I NEED TO BRING FOR SURFING?

      It’s nice and warm in Sri Lanka so all you’ll need is a rashie and pair of boardshorts. We will provide you with a Rashie if you don’t have your own. Don’t forget sunscreen too! It can be difficult to find these items locally, especially 40+.
    • DO I NEED TO BRING MY OWN BOARD?

      Beginner surfing equipemt is included in the packages. However if you’re a level 3 or 4 surfer accustomed to riding a particular size or shape board you can contact us for more info you can contact us for advice on getting your equipment here.
    • DO I NEED TO BE ABLE TO SWIM?

      This is not a must, but an advantage to feel confident in the water, and maximise your progress and enjoyment.
